Sharing the hope of the Gospel with the next generation.
Our Purpose
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.
Our Mission
To enlist, equip and encourage a team of qualified leaders who will effectively fulfill the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship, expanding the work throughout West Texas.
Our Vision
Guiding a new generation that seeks to honor God.
Our Statement of Faith
Founded in 1936, Child Evangelism Fellowship is a worldwide organization dedicated to evangelizing children. The Panhandle Chapter of CEF was established in the 1930s as our international founder, Jesse Overholtzer, traveled Interstate-40, establishing chapters of his newly created organization. Since that time, we have been utilizing multiple ministries through which we continue to accomplish our purpose, mission, and vision.
Good News Club
Our primary ministry, Good News Clubs meet once a week in schools, homes, churches, and other locations. With their parents' permission, children attend these clubs and enjoy a time of Bible stories, songs, and activities all with a Gospel-centered message.
Club leaders and volunteers receive specific training on how to conduct a club and how to lead a child to Christ. All workers must also complete CEF's screening and background check process. Good News Club teachers utilize materials produced by CEF Press, a publication ministry administered by our USA ministries team.
In an average year, our Good News Club ministry reaches over 1,000 kids
in the Texas Panhandle with the Gospel.

Other Ministries
In addition to Good News Clubs and teacher training, CEF also operates multiple other ministries, all centered on bringing the love of Christ to children. From Party Clubs to Camp Good News, we utilize multiple avenues to guide a new generation that seeks to honor God. Check out our ministries page for information on all of our ministries.
Our History
CEF's rich history begins with a man named Jesse Overholtzer (or "Mr. O" as we like to call him). When he was 60 years old, Jesse began Child Evangelism Fellowship after reading a Charles Spurgeon sermon which stated, "A child of five, if properly instructed can as truly believe and be regenerated as an adult".
